They called me 5 times in one day. I had no idea who the number was so I didn’t answer. Called back after the last call and got a VM box full response... How did these people get my phone number...?I don’t see why a telemarketer would be calling me about some illegitimate internet college. I already have had my degree from a reputable state college for about 3years now.

Mark as Useful This number calls me every morning and every evening usually 3 times in a row. I have yet to get a message, but when I called it back from a phone other than my own, it was clearly just a guy on his cell phone driving in his car...must be sales.

Mark as Useful Machine called, using spoofed caller ID, playing a pre-recorded message about lowering my credit card rates, and the usual "Press 1 to speak to a live operator and lower your rates now." I get several of these calls a week, and I'm on the DNCL. I always press 1 and ask to be put on their do not call list. The usually acknowledge my request with a hangup. This time, the conversation went like this:
Scammer: "Card Financial Services (or something similar, mumbled quickly), this is (mumbled her name quickly) speaking. Can I help you?"
Me: "Are you going to hang up on me?"
Scammer: "You betcha!" <click!>
It's unfathomable. I really wonder why they bother to call, other than to harass and annoy people?
